Ultraman Orb the Chronicle Coming in January 2018

Today, Tsuburaya Productions announced that Ultraman Orb will be receiving a Chronicle adaptation similar to Ultraman Zero. The Chronicle series are televised compilations comprised of the various productions dedicated to the titular star. Since this is Ultraman Orb the Chronicle one should expect the series to compile together the original Ultraman Orb series, the Amazon Prime exclusive Ultraman Orb the Origin Saga, Ultra Fight Orb, and Ultraman Orb the Movie. In addition, the episodes will be introduced and narrated by Gai Kurenai (Hideo Ishiguro). Ultraman Orb the Chronicle is set to air on January 6, 2018 at 9:00 am, and will air every Saturday at that time. International fans may be able to view this series through Tsuburaya’s official YouTube Channel, but we would like to include that it may not feature subtitles.

Ultraman Orb is the 28th entry in the Ultra series, celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the original Ultraman series, and the 20th Anniversary of Ultraman Tiga. The series began last year on July 9th and ran for 25 episodes before concluding on December 24th. Ultraman Orb is available in North America for instant streaming through Crunchyroll. However during its run it was apart of their simulcast, but now it has been replaced by Ultraman Geed. The series follows S.S.P. (Something Search People) as they encounter Ultraman Orb and other odd phenomenons in the world. However, unbeknownst to them their newest ally, Gai Kurenai is Ultraman Orb in disguise; who seeks to defeat his former friend, Jugglus Juggler who seeks to revive the Maga Orochi.

Following the original Ultraman Orb series, is Ultraman Orb the Movie and Ultra Fight Orb. Ultraman Orb the Movie is a direct sequel to the series, and has Gai returning to Japan to save it once more. Yet, this time Gai must team-up with Ultraman X, Ultraman Ginga, Ultraman Victory, and Juggler if he hopes to succeed. Whereas, Ultra Fight Orb seems to take place immediately after the film, as Gai is called upon Ultraman Zero and Ultraseven to defeat a new threat. This new threat is one of the last Reionics, Reibatos who seeks to pick up where Belial left off. Ultra Fight Orb is setup to be a teaser for the premiere of Ultraman Geed. Fan subbing group, TV-Nihon, recently provided English subs for both the feature length film, and web-series.

Then as for Ultraman Orb the Origin Saga, it is an Amazon Prime (Japan) exclusive series. The Origin Saga serves as prequel to Ultraman Orb, explaining how Gai became Orb and it features his earliest adventure. Amazon teased that it was exploring the option to distribute the series internationally, but has yet to follow through. However, Ultraman Orb the Origin Saga is being subbed through a few different fan subbing groups. Currently, we are unsure which group has completed the series.
